When a baby is conceived, it miraculously becomes a spiritual being. It senses the warm of the environment, and later it hears the muffled sound of the world through mother's belly.

When it comes out into the world, he is greeted with the first gasp of air which is a big change from the previous environment. The sounds are no longer muffled, but clear. At this stage, the natural human functions start such as eating, digestion, breathing, and thinking.

How doe this little baby learn? It is totally dependent on his mother for livelihood. Food, sensory stimulations are provided for him.

Some studies suggest that babies even in this early stage is able to make moral judgments. Why not? If he is a imago dei?

Basic drive: eat, sleep, digest, strong affinity to mother.
